All entrants
must be registered prior to fishing.
Deadline for registering is 8:00 PM, Friday,
April 25, 2003. There will be a captain's
meeting at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2003
at Huck's Cove, Gautier. Attendance at
meeting is recommended.
- The tournament will begin at
12:01 AM on Sunday, April 26, 2003 and end at 6:00
PM on Sunday, April 26, 2003. The tournament
and weigh-in will be held at Mary Walker Marina.
Scales open at 3:00 PM and close at 6:00 PM.
Registered participants waiting in line to weigh
fish when scales close will be considered on time.
- Fish will be kept on display
in fish bins only as long as the fish retain a place
on the board and as space permits. Anyone
requesting a fish to be returned will give notice
to the weigh master at weigh-in. Prior requested
prize-winning fish will be returned after the awards
ceremony.
- Awards ceremony will be held
at 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2003. All
prizes not claimed at the awards ceremony or within
six (6) days after the tournament will remain the
property of the tournament. Prizes will NOT
be awarded before the ceremony.
- All fish must
be entered and weighed at the Mary Walker Marina
by the angler who caught the fish. All persons
on board must be registered for the tournament and
be able to present a registration ticket on demand.
Fish will be judged by weight on the scales used
by the weigh master. The
weigh master's decision is final.
In the event of equal weights and lengths, the first
fish entered will be declared the winner.
No boats are to come together unless an emergency
exists.
- Fish must be in good, edible
condition and properly iced. Fish must be
properly gaffed. Fish which appear to have
been harpooned, frozen, mutilated, shot or netted
may be refused. The
decision of the weigh master is final.
All fish are subject to test by Torrymeter.
- All contestants will, in every
aspect, catch any fish offered for prize consideration,
in a sportsmanlike manner, obeying all rules and
regulations of the tournament. All fish entered
for prize consideration must comply with all fishing
laws of the State of Mississippi.
- Anyone wishing to protest a
decision by the weigh master must enter a protest
in writing before 7:00 PM, Sunday, April 26, 2003.
All written protests will be considered by a protest
committee of no less than three (3) tournament directors.
The protest committee reserves the option of requiring
a polygraph test as part of their deliberation and
will consider the results final. In the case
of proper protest, the committee will render a decision
with seven (7) days following the tournament.
- Participants enter at their
own risk. Neither the tournament, nor any
person connected with the tournament, shall be held
liable for any loss, damage, negligence, harm or
injury to anyone for any reason.
- Any fish entered in any other
fishing event will be disqualified.
- Anyone found to be in violation
of the tournament rules may be disqualified from
this and all future Cast for Cash sponsored tournaments.

In case
of inclement weather, a complete tournament
will be held on the following day, Sunday,
April 27, 2003.
(Bad weather rule: Four (4) consecutive hours
without small craft warnings issued by the
National Weather Service constitutes a valid
tournament).
