  1. All entrants must be registered prior to fishing.  Deadline for registering is 8:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2003.  There will be a captain's meeting at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2003 at Huck's Cove, Gautier.  Attendance at meeting is recommended.

  2. The tournament will begin at 12:01 AM on Sunday, April 26, 2003 and end at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2003.  The tournament and weigh-in will be held at Mary Walker Marina.  Scales open at 3:00 PM and close at 6:00 PM.  Registered participants waiting in line to weigh fish when scales close will be considered on time.

  3. Fish will be kept on display in fish bins only as long as the fish retain a place on the board and as space permits.  Anyone requesting a fish to be returned will give notice to the weigh master at weigh-in.  Prior requested prize-winning fish will be returned after the awards ceremony.

  4. Awards ceremony will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2003.  All prizes not claimed at the awards ceremony or within six (6) days after the tournament will remain the property of the tournament.  Prizes will NOT be awarded before the ceremony.

  5. All fish must be entered and weighed at the Mary Walker Marina by the angler who caught the fish.  All persons on board must be registered for the tournament and be able to present a registration ticket on demand.  Fish will be judged by weight on the scales used by the weigh master.  The weigh master's decision is final.  In the event of equal weights and lengths, the first fish entered will be declared the winner.  No boats are to come together unless an emergency exists.

  6. Fish must be in good, edible condition and properly iced.  Fish must be properly gaffed.  Fish which appear to have been harpooned, frozen, mutilated, shot or netted may be refused.  The decision of the weigh master is final.  All fish are subject to test by Torrymeter.

  7. All contestants will, in every aspect, catch any fish offered for prize consideration, in a sportsmanlike manner, obeying all rules and regulations of the tournament.  All fish entered for prize consideration must comply with all fishing laws of the State of Mississippi.

  8. Anyone wishing to protest a decision by the weigh master must enter a protest in writing before 7:00 PM, Sunday, April 26, 2003.  All written protests will be considered by a protest committee of no less than three (3) tournament directors.  The protest committee reserves the option of requiring a polygraph test as part of their deliberation and will consider the results final.  In the case of proper protest, the committee will render a decision with seven (7) days following the tournament.

  9. Participants enter at their own risk.  Neither the tournament, nor any person connected with the tournament, shall be held liable for any loss, damage, negligence, harm or injury to anyone for any reason.

  10. Any fish entered in any other fishing event will be disqualified.

  11. Anyone found to be in violation of the tournament rules may be disqualified from this and all future Cast for Cash sponsored tournaments.

  12. In case of inclement weather, a complete tournament will be held on the following day, Sunday, April 27, 2003.  (Bad weather rule: Four (4) consecutive hours without small craft warnings issued by the National Weather Service constitutes a valid tournament).

GOOD LUCK!
